Rouxandra
Dark Pop
Rouxandra is the haunting voice of Pishkey Music.
Rooted in Transylvanian heritage, she turns poems, tales and old incantations into songs: words by Eminescu, Poe and Dickinson meet the voices of Romanian folklore.
Her sound is Dark Pop shaped by Dark Cabaret, Gothic chamber music and Balkan-Romanian tradition, played on violin, cimbalom, cello and accordion.
A world where beauty and decay, memory and death, the human and the spectral exist side by side.
